Two weeks ago, I visited my family in Seattle because my grandparents were celebrating their 75th wedding anniversary … did you catch that? Not 75th birthday, but 75th wedding anniversary! How often do you hear that?

My grandparents are probably one of the most humble people and I have always been inspired by them. But with this diamond anniversary celebration, it reminded me of how blessed I am to have such examples, not only in ministry, but in their marriage.

We had 4 generations sleeping in pretty much one house from great grandparents to great grandkids. It was truly a great time. We had a special wedding anniversary worship service at a local church for them and at the end of the service, when they were walking down the aisle, hand in hand, I couldn’t have been more moved by the fact that 75 years ago, they walked down an aisle, making a promise to each other and to God. Well, God honored that promised and they did too.

Lord, thank you for your faithfulness upon the Chung family.

One of my favorite songs right now … one of those songs where you’re just singing it at the top of your lungs in worship!

One Thing Remains
by Brian Johnson | Christa Black | Jeremy Riddle

Higher than the mountains that I face
Stronger than the power of the grave
Constant in the trial and the change
One thing remains
One thing remains

Your love never fails
It never gives up
Never runs out on me

On and on and on and on it goes
It overwhelms and satisfies my soul
And I never ever have to be afraid
One thing remains
One thing remains

Your love never fails
It never gives up
Never runs out on me

In death in life I’m confident and
Cover’d by the power of Your great love
My debt is paid there’s nothing that
Can separate my heart from Your great love

We can’t do what we do every Sunday without our Tech Team here at Discovery Church. We have the best volunteers and I’m so grateful for all that they do week in and week out!  Even though most people only recognize them when things go wrong, the reality is that without them, nothing would go right!

So thank you, volunteers, who work behind the scenes to make Jesus shine us!
